Harriet Butler celebrates the quirks and eccentricities of life, countries and culture with her illustrative prints, cards and lampshades. Her natural love of people, architecture and people inspires her to draw iconic landmarks and places capturing the spirit and nostalgia of times gone by.
Following a degree in fine arts from the Leeds Metropolitan University and a post graduate project at the Cyprus College of Art in Paphos, Harriet worked in theatres in Manchester for three years before moving to Brighton full time.
A job at the Bellis Gallery in Brighton allowed her to expand her skills into illustration and print making. Her illustration clients have included the Great British Bake off, Swedish interior Designs, The Yorkshire Party Company and Grand Tour Magazine.
Harriet’s prints are a collection of strange, quirky and bizarre dialogues with a strong sense of playfulness and humour she takes her audience on a magical journey through history and time.
